OpenAI signed a contract to purchase an additional $250 billion in Azure services. Microsoft will hold approximately $135 billion or 27% of OpenAI shares. Microsoft (MSFT.O) expressed support for OpenAI's advancement into a public benefit corporation (PBC). Microsoft retains intellectual property and exclusive rights to the Arzure API until artificial general intelligence (AGI) is achieved. OpenAI can now provide API access to US government national security clients, regardless of their cloud provider. OpenAI can now publish open-weight models that meet required capability standards.
