After having six teams on a bye in Week 8, that number has dropped down to just four in Week 9. This slight decrease should make life easier for most fantasy football managers.
The teams that are on bye include the Cleveland Browns, New York Jets, Philadelphia Eagles, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. If you’re new to these rankings, the focus is mainly for PPR leagues, but not too much will change for Half-PPR leagues.
Notable Injury Updates
The main injury update for this list is that the injury to Cam Skattebo gives Tyrone Tracy a significant boost. Other than that, these rankings are subject to change as any injury news comes out throughout the week.

Must Start Wide Receiver: Quentin Johnston (LAC)
It seems like everyone has stopped believing in Quentin Johnston after a rough few weeks. Recently Johnston has been banged up, but let’s not forget that he was great early in the year.
Johnston is a former first round NFL Draft pick who had more than 14 points (PPR) in each of his first four games. Now, Johnston and the Los Angeles Chargers take on the Tennessee Titans in Week 9, who have allowed the 6th most fantasy points to wide receivers this year.
Despite a disappointing past few weeks, Johnston has a strong matchup to where he should be set for a big bounce back week. If Johnston struggles in Week 9, even with a great matchup, he’ll likely be ranked outside the Top 50 going forward.
Must Start Running Back: J.K. Dobbins (DEN)
J.K. Dobbins is a running back who needs to be in your starting lineup every single week. Dobbins is having a fantastic year, running for 5.3 YPC and scoring 12.4 PPG.
Outside of a rough two game stretch in weeks six and seven, Dobbins has scored at least 11 points in every game this year. Even against the Houston Texans, who have allowed the 23rd fewest points against running backs this year, Dobbins is a safe play for your fantasy football lineup.
