BAT Technical Analysis Feb 5

4 min read

BAT is maintaining the LH/LL structure among altcoins; breaking the $0.1215 resistance would be a critical BOS level for trend change, while losing the $0.1145 support could accelerate the decline.

Market Structure Overview

BAT’s current market structure reflects a clear downtrend. The price has been exhibiting lower highs (LH) and lower lows (LL) formation recently, maintaining its bearish character. This structure is consistent across 1D, 3D, and 1W timeframes; for example, there’s strong MTF (multi-timeframe) alignment with 2 support and 2 resistance levels on 1D. Supertrend is giving a bearish signal and the price is positioned below EMA20 ($0.16), confirming short-term bearish momentum. Although RSI at 22.87 is in the oversold region, MACD’s negative histogram indicates potential for continued decline. Overall, the structure is dominated by LH/LL and trend continuation appears dominant until a clear BOS (break of structure) forms.

Trend Analysis: Uptrend or Downtrend?

Uptrend Signals

For an uptrend, higher highs (HH) and higher lows (HL) structure is required; this has not formed in BAT recently. The current $0.12 level is in LL position relative to previous swing lows. For potential HL formation, it needs to hold above $0.1145 support and break $0.1215 resistance. If this happens, a CHoCH (change of character) could provide a bullish reversal signal. However, although RSI is oversold now, volume support is weak; bullish continuation target $0.2084 has a low score (26/100) and seems distant.

Downtrend Risk

The downtrend is clear with LH/LL: The latest swing high $0.1215 is recorded as LH, lower than the previous $0.1359. LLs are concentrated at $0.1145 and $0.1024. MACD is bearish and Supertrend resistance at $0.16 is strong. Unless this structure breaks, monitor bearish breakdown target $0.0368 (score 22/100). The 24h +1.42% change indicates short-term recovery, but the overall structure supports decline.

Structure Break (BOS) Levels

BOS levels confirm trend changes. For bullish BOS, $0.1215 swing high must break; this disrupts the LH structure, opens the door to HL formation, and points to $0.1359. Bearish BOS is loss of $0.1145 swing low: This confirms LL and accelerates descent to $0.1024 support. There are 11 strong levels in MTF (1D: 2S/2R, 3D: 2S/2R, 1W: 1S/4R); for example, 4 resistances dominate on 1W. EMA20 ($0.16) adds resistance. When these levels are surpassed, the structure changes; for example, after bullish BOS, $0.2084 is targeted.

Swing Points and Their Importance

Latest Swing Highs

Latest swing high $0.1215 (score 69/100), critical LH level; this is key for BOS. If broken above, previous $0.1359 (score 60/100) is tested. These points block trend continuation; LH formation strengthens bearish bias. With price stuck at $0.12, rejection at $0.1215 reinforces decline.

Latest Swing Lows

Latest swing low $0.1145 (score 75/100), strong support; holding here offers hope for HL, but break confirms LL. Lower support $0.1024 (score 69/100), MTF aligned. These lows are the building blocks of the down structure; their loss increases bearish momentum and leads to deeper LLs.

Bitcoin Correlation

BTC at $73,040 in downtrend (-4.15% 24h), Supertrend bearish; supports $71,888-$68,964-$59,866, resists $74,048-$76,905. Altcoins like BAT are highly correlated with BTC; BTC decline pressures BAT, dominance increase brings altcoin weakness. If BTC breaks $71,888, BAT $0.1145 risk increases; above $74,048 recovery could support BAT bullish BOS. BTC caution mode keeps BAT structure bearish.

Structural Outlook and Expectations

BAT structure is LH/LL bearish; above $0.1215 BOS defines bullish shift, below $0.1145 bearish continuation. MTF supported by strong levels, EMA20 and Supertrend reinforce bearish bias. Although RSI oversold suggests short-term bounce, MACD confirms decline. Follow BAT Spot Analysis and BAT Futures Analysis. Bearish outlook dominates until structure changes; monitor swing levels.

The announcement by America’s Health Insurance Plans (AHIP), which includes CVS Health’s Aetna, Humana, Cigna, Centene and an array of Blue Cross and Blue Shield plans as members, comes ahead of the first meeting of the reconstituted Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices, which now has new members chosen by U.S. Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., a vaccine critic. “Health plans are committed to maintaining and ensuring affordable access to vaccines,” AHIP said in a statement Wednesday. “Health plan coverage decisions for immunizations are grounded in each plan’s ongoing, rigorous review of scientific and clinical evidence, and continual evaluation of multiple sources of data.” The move by AHIP is good news for millions of Americans at a time of year when they flock to drugstores, pharmacies, physician’s offices and outpatient clinics to get their seasonal flu and Covid shots. Kennedy’s changes to U.S. vaccine policy have created confusion across the country over whether certain vaccines long covered by insurance would continue to be. AHIP has now provided some clarity for millions of Americans. “Health plans will continue to cover all ACIP-recommended immunizations that were recommended as of September 1, 2025, including updated formulations of the COVID-19 and influenza vaccines, with no cost-sharing…
