Next Crypto to Explode: 5 Projects to Watch, Led by Ripple (XRP) and Little Pepe (LILPEPE)

4 min read

It’s the last week of December 2025, and you can pretty much feel the buzz in crypto right now. No one wants to throw their money at dead-end coins. Investors are after projects that show real progress, pay back their supporters, and don’t slow down. Sure, the market’s still a bit wild, but you can see serious cash flowing into the heavy hitters. Some fresh faces are starting to turn heads, too. So as 2026 rolls in, here are five projects you’ll want to watch.

1. Little Pepe (LILPEPE) Redefines the Market with Layer-2 Utility

Leading the list is Little Pepe, a project that has shattered expectations by raising over $27.9 million during its ongoing presale. Currently in stage 13 and priced at $0.0022, LILPEPE is not just another token; it is the backbone of a dedicated Layer-2 blockchain explicitly built for the meme economy. This network is designed to eliminate the high gas fees and slow confirmation times that plague the Ethereum mainnet, offering near-zero transaction costs and lightning-fast speeds. Its technical edge has already attracted thousands of investors, with over 16.8 billion tokens sold as the project nears its $0.003 exchange listing price. The LILPEPE ecosystem is built for long-term sustainability through its flagship Pump Pad, which allows new developers to launch secure, liquidity-locked projects directly on the LILPEPE chain. This creates a permanent demand for the LILPEPE token, as it serves as the fuel for the entire network. To ensure a fair environment, the team has integrated anti-bot protections and a zero-tax trading model.

2. Mog Coin (MOG) Captures the Pure Viral Energy of Culture

MOG has recently seen a surge in volume on decentralized exchanges, as traders seek tokens that can withstand a bear market through sheer community will. While it lacks the Layer-2 utility of Little Pepe, its status as a top-tier culture coin on the Ethereum network makes it a high-beta play that often pumps when the broader meme sector shows signs of life. For investors, MOG represents the raw, speculative side of the market. It is a high-risk bet on internet culture and the community’s ability to stay relevant.

3. Cardano (ADA) Doubles Down on Governance

Cardano’s sitting around $0.35. With the rollout of the Voltaire era, everything’s shifting to decentralized governance. The network’s finally handing the reins to its community, turning it into a real member-driven operation.  Investors complain about how slow Cardano moves, but you can’t ignore its track record. No hacks. No downtime. For many investors, that kind of reliability is a significant concern.

4. Ripple (XRP) Holds Steady After Regulatory Win

Currently trading near the $1.86 mark, XRP has benefited significantly from its recent integration into the federal banking infrastructure. For institutional investors, XRP is now a safe asset that provides a secure bridge for global payments. However, while its floor price is excellent, its massive size means that it is now a slow-moving asset compared to its younger rivals.  For an investor looking for a 50x return, Ripple presents a significant challenge. While price targets for 2026 suggest a steady climb toward $3 or even $5, these gains are conservative.

5. Sui (SUI) Becomes the New Standard for High-Speed DeFi

Sui has established itself as a top-tier performer in the decentralized finance space, currently trading at a price below $1.45. Its programming language and massive transaction throughput have made it a favorite for developers who are tired of the limitations of older blockchains. DeFi projects continue to flock to the Sui network, and as they do, demand for its native token continues to climb.

Conclusion

The hierarchy for 2026 is becoming clear: utility and community are the new kings of the market. Little Pepe (LILPEPE) offers the highest upside potential due to its Layer-2 blockchain. For those looking to position themselves ahead of the market move, the wise choice is to strike a balance between established giants and high-speed meme coins that are still in their early phases.

How The ByteDance App Survived Trump And A US Ban

The post How The ByteDance App Survived Trump And A US Ban appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. WASHINGTON, DC – MARCH 13: Participants hold signs in support of TikTok outside the U.S. Capitol Building on March 13, 2024 in Washington, DC. (Photo by Anna Moneymaker/Getty Images) Getty Images From President Trump’s first ban attempt to a near-blackout earlier this year, TikTok’s five-year roller coaster ride looks like it’s finally slowing down now that Trump has unveiled a deal framework to keep the ByteDance app alive in the U.S. A look back at the saga around TikTok starting in 2020, however, shows just how close the app came to being shut out of the US – how it narrowly averted a ban and forced sale that found rare bipartisan backing in Washington. Recapping TikTok’s dramatic five-year battle When I interviewed Brendan Carr back in 2022, for example, the future FCC chairman was already certain at that point that TikTok’s days were numbered. For a litany of perceived sins — everything from the too-cozy relationship of the app’s parent company with China’s ruling regime to the app’s repeated floating of user privacy — Carr was already convinced, at least during his conversation with me, that: “The tide is going out on TikTok.” It was, in fact, one of the few issues that Washington lawmakers seemed to agree on. Even then-President Biden was on board, having resurrected Trump’s aborted TikTok ban from his first term and signed it into law. “It feels different now than it did two years ago at the end of the Trump administration, when concerns were first raised,” Carr told me then, in August of 2022. “I think, like a lot of things in the Trump era, people sort of picked sides on the issue based on the fact that it was Trump.” One thing led to another, though, and it looked like Carr was probably…
