Best Crypto to Buy Ahead of 2026 as XRP and ADA Trades Flat, This DeFi Crypto Builds Momentum

After recent market moves, sentiment across crypto has started to change. Large-cap tokens that once dominated headlines are now trading sideways, while attention is slowly moving toward smaller projects showing visible progress. Three assets stand out in this phase. Two are well known and widely held. One is newer, less visible, and gaining momentum at a different pace. As 2026 approaches, that contrast is becoming harder to ignore.

Ripple (XRP)

Ripple’s XRP remains one of the most recognized assets in the market. It trades around the mid-range of its recent cycle and carries a market cap that places it among the largest cryptocurrencies globally. Early in its history, XRP delivered sharp gains as adoption narratives strengthened and exchange access expanded. Many long-term holders still remember that phase clearly.

Price action today looks very different. XRP has spent extended periods moving sideways, with repeated tests of resistance that fail to turn into sustained breakouts. Trading volume often thins near these levels, suggesting limited follow-through. Liquidity remains deep, but that depth also slows movement. When an asset reaches this size, even strong interest translates into modest price changes.

This is where rotation begins. Investors looking for stronger upside potential often reduce exposure to assets that appear capped and start exploring alternatives with more room to move. XRP’s current structure fits that profile, which is why it often acts as an early signal when capital begins to rotate elsewhere.

Cardano (ADA)

Cardano’s ADA tells a similar story from a different angle. ADA trades at a level that reflects its established position rather than early growth. It maintains a large market cap and a loyal community, built during a period when its long-term vision attracted strong attention.

Over time, however, expectations have changed. Price movement has struggled to regain earlier momentum, and rallies tend to stall near familiar zones. From a simple technical view, ADA often fails to hold gains above key resistance areas. Volume during advances does not match earlier cycles, which points to softer demand.

For many investors, the issue is not whether ADA has value, but whether it still offers meaningful upside relative to risk. As narratives mature and demand stabilizes, growth windows narrow. This is why ADA, like XRP, is increasingly viewed as a hold rather than a growth driver. That shift plays a role in where new capital flows next.

Mutuum Finance (MUTM)

This rotation has brought Mutuum Finance (MUTM) into sharper focus. Instead of relying on legacy narratives, MUTM is gaining visibility through progress and participation. The project has been expanding its user base steadily, and its roadmap has remained clear and consistent.

Mutuum Finance is building a lending and borrowing protocol designed to reward activity rather than attention. It focuses on predictable mechanics, measured expansion, and real usage. That approach is resonating with investors who are stepping away from flat large caps and toward assets that are still early in their lifecycle.

The numbers reflect this shift. MUTM trades at $0.035 and has increased 250% since its initial stage earlier in 2025. More than 18,400 holders have joined the project, and funding has reached $19.30M. Out of the 4B total supply, 820M tokens have been sold so far. These figures point to momentum building gradually rather than arriving all at once, which is often how early-stage growth begins.

Why Rotation Favors MUTM Over XRP and ADA

The contrast becomes clearer when comparing structures. XRP’s challenge is scale. With a very large market cap, strong gains require enormous inflows. ADA faces a different limitation. Its narrative has lost urgency, and demand appears stable rather than expanding.

MUTM operates from a different position. Its pricing remains early-stage, and its roadmap is still unfolding. The protocol is designed around user-driven yield, not passive holding. Suppliers earn through mtTokens that increase in redeemable value as borrowers repay interest. On top of that, the buy-and-distribute mechanism adds another layer of demand. MUTM purchased on the open market is redistributed to users who stake mtTokens in the safety module.

A simple example highlights the difference. A $1,000 move into a large-cap asset like XRP or ADA may result in limited upside because price movement is constrained. The same amount placed into an early-stage asset with growing usage can move the needle much more.

V1 and the Momentum Path Forward

Momentum rarely sustains without delivery. Mutuum Finance has confirmed through its official X statement that V1 will launch on the Sepolia Testnet in Q4 2025. This release introduces the Liquidity Pool, mtToken system, Debt Token, and Liquidator Bot, with ETH and USDT as the first supported assets. For many observers, this milestone marks the transition from preparation to usage.

Security foundations are already in place. Mutuum Finance completed a CertiK audit with a 90/100 Token Scan score. Halborn Security is reviewing the finalized contracts, and a $50K bug bounty is active to identify code vulnerabilities early. These steps matter because they reduce uncertainty at the moment when users begin interacting with the protocol.

Additional plans reinforce the longer view. A stablecoin backed by borrower interest is part of the roadmap, designed to deepen internal liquidity. Oracle infrastructure based on Chainlink, with fallback and aggregated feeds, supports accurate pricing and reliable liquidations. Card payment options also lower entry barriers, helping expand participation as interest grows.

Taken together, these factors explain why rotational flow may continue. While XRP and ADA trade flat, MUTM is still moving through an adoption curve. For those tracking potential top crypto investments, Mutuum Finance is increasingly part of that conversation as 2026 approaches.

The Channel Factories We’ve Been Waiting For

The post The Channel Factories We’ve Been Waiting For appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. Visions of future technology are often prescient about the broad strokes while flubbing the details. The tablets in “2001: A Space Odyssey” do indeed look like iPads, but you never see the astronauts paying for subscriptions or wasting hours on Candy Crush.  Channel factories are one vision that arose early in the history of the Lightning Network to address some challenges that Lightning has faced from the beginning. Despite having grown to become Bitcoin’s most successful layer-2 scaling solution, with instant and low-fee payments, Lightning’s scale is limited by its reliance on payment channels. Although Lightning shifts most transactions off-chain, each payment channel still requires an on-chain transaction to open and (usually) another to close. As adoption grows, pressure on the blockchain grows with it. The need for a more scalable approach to managing channels is clear. Channel factories were supposed to meet this need, but where are they? In 2025, subnetworks are emerging that revive the impetus of channel factories with some new details that vastly increase their potential. They are natively interoperable with Lightning and achieve greater scale by allowing a group of participants to open a shared multisig UTXO and create multiple bilateral channels, which reduces the number of on-chain transactions and improves capital efficiency. Achieving greater scale by reducing complexity, Ark and Spark perform the same function as traditional channel factories with new designs and additional capabilities based on shared UTXOs.  Channel Factories 101 Channel factories have been around since the inception of Lightning. A factory is a multiparty contract where multiple users (not just two, as in a Dryja-Poon channel) cooperatively lock funds in a single multisig UTXO. They can open, close and update channels off-chain without updating the blockchain for each operation. Only when participants leave or the factory dissolves is an on-chain transaction…

BlackRock boosts AI and US equity exposure in $185 billion models

The post BlackRock boosts AI and US equity exposure in $185 billion models appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. BlackRock is steering $185 billion worth of model portfolios deeper into US stocks and artificial intelligence. The decision came this week as the asset manager adjusted its entire model suite, increasing its equity allocation and dumping exposure to international developed markets. The firm now sits 2% overweight on stocks, after money moved between several of its biggest exchange-traded funds. This wasn’t a slow shuffle. Billions flowed across multiple ETFs on Tuesday as BlackRock executed the realignment. The iShares S&P 100 ETF (OEF) alone brought in $3.4 billion, the largest single-day haul in its history. The iShares Core S&P 500 ETF (IVV) collected $2.3 billion, while the iShares US Equity Factor Rotation Active ETF (DYNF) added nearly $2 billion. The rebalancing triggered swift inflows and outflows that realigned investor exposure on the back of performance data and macroeconomic outlooks. BlackRock raises equities on strong US earnings The model updates come as BlackRock backs the rally in American stocks, fueled by strong earnings and optimism around rate cuts. In an investment letter obtained by Bloomberg, the firm said US companies have delivered 11% earnings growth since the third quarter of 2024. Meanwhile, earnings across other developed markets barely touched 2%. That gap helped push the decision to drop international holdings in favor of American ones. Michael Gates, lead portfolio manager for BlackRock’s Target Allocation ETF model portfolio suite, said the US market is the only one showing consistency in sales growth, profit delivery, and revisions in analyst forecasts. “The US equity market continues to stand alone in terms of earnings delivery, sales growth and sustainable trends in analyst estimates and revisions,” Michael wrote. He added that non-US developed markets lagged far behind, especially when it came to sales. This week’s changes reflect that position. The move was made ahead of the Federal…
