The crypto market has come alive again after the U.S. Federal Reserve’s long-awaited interest rate cut, and several analysts are coming up with predictions on the next crypto to buy now. Often, lower rates are precursors to increased liquidity and risk-taking, and historically, cryptocurrencies have tended to move strongly in this environment.

From Digitap ($TAP) to Monero, these are five altcoins to buy now in preparation as the Fed begins easing in earnest—welcome to the post-Fed rate cut era.

  1. Digitap ($TAP)—The world’s first omni-bank merging fiat and crypto via multi-rail architecture.
  2. Solana (SOL) — A high-speed blockchain built for scalable dApps and DeFi.
  3. Dogecoin (DOGE) — The meme-coin favorite with massive community backing.
  4. Monero (XMR) — The leading privacy coin gaining renewed demand as investors seek anonymity and value in a low-rate economy.
  5. Polkadot (DOT) — A multichain ecosystem connecting blockchains through parachains.

1. Digitap ($TAP): New Crypto Presale Record as Omnibank Gains Global Acceptance

One of the most talked-about cryptocurrencies in 2025, Digitap is the world’s first omnibank. The project combines traditional banking systems with crypto functionality, providing a single platform to hold, spend, and transfer both fiat and crypto seamlessly.

Unlike other projects having their crypto presale, Digitap has a live mobile app on both iOS and Android, and users can use its Visa-linked card to spend anywhere in the world. Several other features, like IBAN accounts, offshore banking, and staking rewards, make it a compelling option for one of the best altcoins to buy.

In a rate-cut environment, borrowing becomes cheaper, and if the last cycle has shown anything, it is that traders tend to go all in on projects they believe will deliver the most value in a low-rate environment. Digitap operates in a highly competitive space, but its schematic approach is showing confidence in the team’s ability to pull it off.

The tokenomics show another interesting angle. The total supply is 2 billion $TAP tokens, 44% is assigned for the crypto presale, and the team’s allocation is 1%, unlocked after 5 years. This gives an incentive to the project’s success, and analysts are taking note of the fact that 50% of platform profits are used to burn $TAP and reward stakers.

2. Solana: An Edge For Blockchain Developers

Of all the cryptocurrencies that were developed to rival Ethereum’s scalability issues, Solana is arguably the most dynamic option. Designed for speed, scalability, and affordability, Solana has quietly grown to become a top choice for blockchain developers building decentralised apps, NFT platforms, and DeFi protocols.

After the Fed’s rate cut, liquidity has started flowing back into high-growth altcoins, and Solana is expected to be a big beneficiary of this.

At the last cycle, Solana soared 600% after the government implemented rate hikes, and hit its all-time high a few months after the Federal Reserve started cutting rates. Analysts believe Solana can replicate this move, and this would position it as one of the top cryptos to buy now for the 2025-2026 crypto cycle.

3. Dogecoin: Risk-on History Proves Valuable

Although Dogecoin started as a joke, in an environment of easy money, it has proven to be a viable wealth generator. While it has many rivals like Shiba and Pepecoin, and even newer projects are undergoing their crypto presales.

Analysts expect Dogecoin to thrive as liquidity flows into the hands of traders. Its strong community, positive sentiments, and occasional endorsements from Elon Musk could further drive its next rally. Dogecoin may not have the deep fundamentals of other cryptos on this list, but its momentum and FOMO could make it a top crypto to buy now.

4. Monero: Privacy Coins are Soaring

Monero has suffered significantly due to government regulations against privacy coins; however, in terms of value, few other cryptocurrencies match Monero’s utility. The crypto market was expected to experience an altcoin season in 2025, but it surprisingly saw a privacy coin rally, with cryptocurrencies like ZCash leading the way. Monero has not moved significantly, and analysts expect this to change in an environment of low interest rates.

The demand for true privacy has increased, and high-profile institutions like Grayscale have started opening trust funds for privacy coins. With more money entering the economy, Monero may make a comeback as one of the top altcoins to buy.

5. Polkadot: Parachain Turns Asset in a Risk-on Environment

Polkadot is a multi-chain ecosystem designed to connect various blockchains into a single network. While it has not enjoyed mass adoption like other cryptocurrencies in the same space, analysts predict Polkadot will thrive in a rate-cut environment. With the Federal Reserve’s interest rate cut, investors tend to shift to a risk-on behavior, and Polkadot’s cross-chain integration becomes more valuable.

Polkadot aligns with the utility and scalable ecosystem narrative, and its parachains help mitigate fragmentation. Some analysts believe Polkadot could be the pick-and-shovel stock for the next crypto cycle, and should be one of the best altcoins to buy.

Digitap ($TAP): Best Crypto Coin to Buy Now

The Federal Reserve rate cut typically reduces interest in safe assets, such as government bonds, and investors seek higher return opportunities by heading further out on the risk curve. This is brilliant news for risk-on assets, which will benefit from the change in economic outlook, and these five cryptocurrencies could see significant gains.

Historically, Bitcoin and Ethereum tend to lead the charge following policy easing. However, with more attractive options, this is likely to change this cycle. Digitap’s presale has hit $1.7 million, from the sale of over 108 million $TAP tokens. The project is expected to be at the centre of fast-rising crypto to buy now.

U.S. Senate panel to hold crypto tax policy hearing on October 1

U.S. Senate panel to hold crypto tax policy hearing on October 1

The Senate Banking Committee will hold a public hearing on October 1 to go after one of the most confusing messes in U.S. finance right now:- how crypto gets taxed. The committee confirmed the date in a notice first reported by Eleanor Terrett, and witnesses lined up include Jason Somensatto, Policy Director at Coin Center; Andrea S. Kramer, founding member of ASKramer Law; Lawrence Zlatkin, Vice President of Taxation at Coinbase; and Annette Nellen, Chair of the Digital Asset Taxation Working Group under the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. This hearing is meant to address a problem that’s pissed off crypto users for years, which is why every small crypto transaction, even a few dollars, triggers a tax headache. The Senate is being pushed to finally look at de minimis exemptions, which would let people use crypto for daily stuff (like grabbing a coffee) without reporting every damn thing to the IRS. Trump administration backs small crypto tax relief Cryptopolitan reported back in July that White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt had said that the Trump administration still wants to push through the de minimis exemption in upcoming laws. “The president did signal his support for de minimis exemption for crypto and the administration continues to be in support of that,” Karoline said. She explained that right now, using crypto for basic purchases is too complicated because of tax rules, but a change could make everyday payments smoother. “We are definitely receptive to it to make crypto payments easier and more efficient for those who seek to use crypto as simple as buying a cup of coffee — of course, right now, that cannot happen, but with the de minimis exemption perhaps it could in the future.” Karoline also revealed that President Trump plans to host a signing ceremony for the GENIUS Act, a stablecoin-focused bill expected to pass soon. That bill is part of his administration’s broader goal to make the U.S. “the crypto capital of the world.” The Senate has already tried and failed to deal with this issue before. In 2020, two Democratic lawmakers proposed the Virtual Currency Tax Fairness Act, which aimed to ignore tax on crypto gains below $200. It didn’t even make it to a vote. A similar version in 2022 also died on the floor. Then came a broader bill in 2025 called the One Big Beautiful Bill Act, which covered everything from taxes to border control. Senator Cynthia Lummis, a Republican from Wyoming, tried to get a crypto exemption added in for gains under $300, but that proposal got scrapped before the final bill passed. President Trump signed it into law on July 4 without the crypto language attached. Right now, the IRS says every single crypto transaction must be reported, even if there’s no gain or the amount is tiny. If you spend $5 of bitcoin, that’s a taxable event. The idea behind the de minimis exemption is to cut through that nonsense and give users room to breathe. But it hasn’t been easy. Lawmakers face real obstacles. First, the federal government depends on tax income. If it suddenly lets millions of small crypto transactions go untaxed, that means less money coming in. And there’s no sign yet of how they’ll offset that shortfall. Even with strong voices like Cynthia and Jason in the room, the Senate still hasn’t landed on a solution. October 1 might give them a chance to do something useful. Or it might be another meeting where everyone talks and nothing happens. Get seen where it counts.
