A single social media post from U.S. President Donald Trump has become the latest focus of cryptocurrency speculation, with some XRP supporters suggesting it carries a hidden message connected to the digital asset.

While the image itself makes no direct reference to XRP, finance enthusiast Jay Nisbett argued that the post substantiates the increasingly bullish outlook held by parts of the XRP community.

Nisbett tweeted, “XRP to $100 and it’s not even remotely a joke anymore.” His remark accompanied a repost of a TrendSpider update that highlighted an image Trump had shared on Truth Social.

TrendSpider’s post stated, “President Trump just posted this to Truth Social: Any guesses what it might mean?” The attached image appears to be the redesigned U.S. $100 bill featuring President Trump’s signature alongside Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent.

Although neither Trump nor TrendSpider mentioned XRP or cryptocurrency, Nisbett interpreted the post as another reason to maintain an extremely bullish outlook for the token.

Community Questions the XRP Connection

Nisbett did not explain why he believes the image supports a potential move toward $100 for XRP, leaving followers to draw their own conclusions. As a result, many responses focused on whether the post had any connection to digital assets at all.

Several commenters rejected the interpretation entirely. Bitcoin Bandit said the theory relied on an unfounded assumption, writing, “This post demonstrates how desperate XRP propaganda had become. The mental leap from a Trump post to XRP being worth $100 is hilarious.”

Another user, The Wizard Man, suggested there was a much simpler explanation for the image. According to the commenter, “This is him posting his signature on the note. Nothing to do with XRP.”

A third user, identified as yb, also dismissed the speculation. The commenter wrote, “You guys reach for anything. This doesn’t mean anything except for the fact all newly printed us currency will have the current sitting president’s signature on the note. clown.”

XRP Optimism Remains Strong Despite Lack of Direct Evidence

The exchange highlights the contrasting views that continue to surround XRP. Supporters frequently point to political developments, regulatory changes, and institutional activity as reasons for expecting substantial long-term price appreciation. Critics, however, argue that many of the connections made by bullish commentators rely on speculation rather than verifiable evidence.

In this instance, neither Trump’s Truth Social post nor TrendSpider’s commentary suggested that the image is related to XRP, Ripple, or the broader cryptocurrency market. Nevertheless, Nisbett’s statement reflects the confidence shared by some members of the XRP community, who continue to believe the asset could eventually reach triple-digit valuations.
