KYIV: A Russian missile strike on Ukraine’s central city of Dnipro killed at least five people on Monday and wounded more than 20 others, Ukrainian officials said.
“Russian forces carried out an airstrike on a private enterprise in the city of Dnipro,” the national police said in a statement.
The regional governor Oleksandr Ganzha said five people had been killed and at least 21 wounded – five of whom were in a serious condition.
The police force posted photos showing paramedics tending to the wounded under the bright sun.
Both Russia and Ukraine have escalated aerial attacks in recent months as stalled negotiations have made no progress in halting the four-year war.
