Rep. Dan Meuser crashed out in an interview with TMZ on Thursday when a reporter pressed him about the upcoming 10-day break for Congress as a stalemate over funding the Department of Homeland Security continued.
Meuser was walking on Capitol Hill when TMZ asked him if he was frustrated over the funding bill, which had stalled in Congress for more than a month. Hours after the interview, the House on Thursday afternoon passed a bill to reopen DHS.

"Mike Johnson's doing an excellent job," Meuser said. "Look, it's far from perfect. But, you know, there is a plan, we are getting things done."
Meuser claimed the Senate also has issues and started blaming Democrats.
"The Democrats have shut down our Department of Homeland Security. The Democrats won't let simple bills go through," he added.
The conversation got heated when the TMZ reporter mentioned the Republican majority in Congress and pushed back on the Republican's claims, citing the American public's concerns.
"Stop it! No kidding, we have a majority," Meuser said. "We have a two vote majority, so that means we need 100 percent. And as well, you need 60 votes over there. You know that. Stop trying to kick things up [that] aren't worth it."
Meuser was visibly annoyed by the line of questioning as the reporter told the congressman he was "trying to be respectful."
"It's not a break," Meuser said. "You're not being respectful. Don't talk to me anymore! I'm frustrated but you don't know what you're talking about."
The GOP lawmaker said he had meetings and things to do at home for his constituents — and that it wasn't a break.
"Talk to the f------ Democrats," Meuser said, walking away.
