Holding USDT is easy.

Spending it is where the friction shows up: you withdraw, you wait for the transfer to land, and you absorb an exchange cost somewhere along the way.

The MEXC Global Card is MEXC's second Visa card, launches on August 31, 2026.

It sits alongside the original MEXC Card, which remains available in selected Asia-Pacific markets, and the MEXC × ether.fi co-branded card.

This guide covers what the Global Card is, what it costs, what it pays back, where you can apply for it, and how the application actually works.

Key Takeaways

  • The MEXC Global Card is MEXC's second Visa card, launched August 31, 2026.
  • It is a Visa Platinum virtual card that works with Apple Pay and Google Pay.
  • Spending fees run 0% until September 30, 2026, then 1%, with no FX markup from MEXC.
  • Cashback pays 4–10% in USDT, alongside a 7% APR product.
  • You spend by topping up the card from your Fiat Account, not straight from your trading balance.
  • Eligibility follows the country in your verified MEXC profile, and the virtual card is issued within minutes.

What Is the MEXC Global Card?

The Global Card is a Visa Platinum virtual card issued to MEXC users, with a black-and-gold card face.

You fund it with USDT.

When you pay, the card converts that USDT into the local currency of the transaction at the exchange rate at that moment, and the merchant is settled through the Visa network like any other card payment.

That is how crypto cards work in general: the conversion happens at checkout, and the merchant is paid in fiat.

There is nothing to wait for in the mail and no separate app to install, because the card is virtual from the start.

It works with Apple Pay and Google Pay, so the card can live in your phone wallet and tap at a terminal like any other card.

MEXC's own framing for the product is short: spend your crypto worldwide.

In practice that means the card is usable anywhere Visa is accepted, online and in person.

One point is worth being precise about, because the naming invites confusion: the Global Card is a second card, issued in parallel with the MEXC Card (APAC) rather than in place of it.

Both are still being issued, and holding one does not affect your ability to hold the other.

MEXC Global Card vs MEXC Card vs ether.fi: Which One Are You Looking At?

MEXC offers three Visa cards, and they are easy to mix up because they share a brand and most of the same rewards mechanics.

The differences that matter are where you can apply, which phone wallet works, and how much you can spend.

How you applyOn MEXCOn MEXCThrough an ether.fi membership account

The co-branded card is applied for and managed through ether.fi, so its regions, rewards and limits are set out in the MEXC × ether.fi application guide.

If you are in Asia-Pacific, you may see more than one MEXC card on the same page, and the choice comes down to three things.

The Global Card adds Apple Pay, covers a wider set of markets, and clears a much higher daily ceiling.

The MEXC Card (APAC) is the earlier card, supports Google Pay only, and caps a single day at 50,000 USD.

The rewards mechanics — cashback rates, the 7% APR product, and invite rewards — are the same on both.

One thing the two MEXC cards do share is the cashback allocation itself: holding both does not double your monthly cap, because spending on either card draws from a single allocation.

How the Global Card Works

The card runs on a top-up model.

Your trading balance is not spent directly.

Funds move to the card in a specific order, and each step is a real step:

  • Move USDT into your Fiat Account — if your funds sit in your Spot or Futures account, transfer them across first.
  • Top up the card from your Fiat Account, in any amount from 1 to 1,000,000 USDT per top-up.
  • Pay at a merchant, and the card converts your USDT to the local currency at the exchange rate at that moment.
  • Visa settles the transaction with the merchant.

The practical consequence is that the card spends only what you have topped up, rather than drawing directly on your trading balance.

That is a small operational detail with a large effect on how you use the card, and it is the one thing to internalize before your first purchase.

On that first purchase, the card typically asks for 3DS verification, delivered as a code by email or through the MEXC app.

For how authorization, settlement and refunds work behind the scenes, see the official MEXC Card Transaction FAQ.

MEXC Card Core Benefits

Spending Fees: 0% Until September 30, 2026

From launch through September 30, 2026, MEXC charges no spending fee on Global Card transactions.

After that date the spending fee is 1%, charged on the value of each purchase.

That is the only fee on a purchase.

The Global Card charges no crypto conversion fee, and it adds no markup to the Visa exchange rate on cross-border spending.

The two MEXC cards actually run opposite fee structures: the MEXC Card (APAC) charges no transaction fee but takes 1% on crypto conversion, plus a 1% cross-border fee on top of the Visa exchange rate.

Once the 0% promotion ends on September 30, 2026, a same-currency purchase costs the same on either card, while a cross-border purchase always costs less on the Global Card.

Cashback of 4% to 10%, Paid in USDT

Cashback is tiered by your VVIP level on MEXC, which is driven by your M-Score — a score built from your trading volume, your activity level and your security credit.

The three tiers work like this:

TierM-ScoreCashback rateMonthly cap
Standard350–5994%100 USDT
Premier600–7996%300 USDT
Elite800 and above10%800 USDT

Your rate for a given month is fixed by your real VVIP tier on the last day of that calendar month, and Experience Card tiers do not count toward it.

Payout arrives in USDT in your Spot account by the 15th of the following month.

Refunded and reversed transactions drop out of the calculation, and cashback already credited on them is deducted.

Some merchant categories are excluded from cashback entirely, so check the list of merchant categories not eligible for cashback before you plan around a large purchase.

All of it pays out in USDT — not in points, and not in a platform token.

7% APR on USDT You Subscribe to the Earn Product

USDT you subscribe to the MEXC Card exclusive Earn product earns a 7% APR, paid in USDT.

You subscribe on demand and redeem when you want the funds back.

Interest accrues hourly and is distributed the next day, on subscriptions between 100 and 100,000 USDT.

Subscription is manual, so nothing happens automatically when you top up the card.

This runs on a separate track from cashback: the two are calculated independently and neither reduces the other.

The 7% rate is fixed for the duration of the campaign and may be adjusted afterward, so check MEXC's announcements for the current figure.

Invite Rewards: 20 USDT and 10 USDT

Inviting someone to the Global Card pays both sides.

You receive a 20 USDT airdrop for each qualified referral, and there is no cap on how many people you invite.

The person you invite receives 10 USDT.

To qualify, they need to be newly registered on MEXC, add at least 100 USDT in net funding within seven days of their first deposit to MEXC, hold it for at least 24 hours, and activate the card.

Once every condition is verified, the rewards land in your Spot account.

Customized invitation plans are available for KOLs and affiliates by region.

Limits and Fixed Costs

The Global Card carries a per-transaction ceiling of 80,000 USD and a daily ceiling of 1,000,000 USD.

Those limits sit well above most consumer crypto cards, and they are also well above the MEXC Card (APAC), which caps both a single transaction and a single day at 50,000 USD.

There is no annual fee, no top-up fee, and no inactivity fee.

The standard 20 USD card issuance fee is waived for a limited time, so issuing the virtual card costs nothing while the waiver runs.

Who Is the MEXC Global Card For?

Active Traders Who Already Hold USDT

If you trade often, your USDT is already sitting where you need it — and getting it out to spend is the annoying part.

The usual route runs through several steps, moves at the speed of a settlement window, and loses a little value to the exchange rate on the way.

The Global Card shortens that to a single top-up from your Fiat Account.

The 4% floor on cashback and the 7% APR product mean the balance is doing something while it waits to be spent.

Cashback Users Coming From Traditional Cards

Some people understand crypto perfectly well and still find the day-to-day mechanics of using it a chore.

They are comfortable paying by card and they pay attention to what a card gives back.

For that group the Global Card is a familiar object with an unfamiliar funding source: you tap your phone, the merchant charges you, and cashback lands in USDT the following month.

At 4% to 10%, the return sits above what most everyday cards offer.

KOLs and Affiliates

If you have an audience, the invite program is the part of the card that scales with you.

Each qualified referral pays 20 USDT, with no cap on the number of referrals, and referral earnings sit on top of your own cashback rather than competing with it.

Cross-Border Freelancers and Digital Nomads

Earning in crypto and spending in three different currencies is where fee stacks quietly eat a working budget.

Currency conversion, intermediary charges, and slow settlement each take a cut.

The Global Card adds no markup to the Visa exchange rate and charges no conversion fee, which leaves the spending fee and Visa's own exchange-rate spread (typically 0.1%–0.3%) as the only costs of paying abroad.

The 80,000 USD per-transaction ceiling also covers the kind of large, occasional payment — a flight, a rental payment on an apartment, a piece of equipment — that trips up lower-limit cards.

How to Apply for the MEXC Global Card in Minutes

Four steps, and no income proof at any point.

  • Register on MEXC if you do not already have an account.
  • Complete Advanced KYC (a government-issued ID and face verification) and make sure your proof of address (POA) is from an eligible country.
  • Apply for the card on the MEXC Card page or in the MEXC app: select the black-and-gold card, tap Apply Now, and fill in your contact details, ID information and residential address.
  • Top up and spend — review usually completes within a few minutes, after which you fund the card from your Fiat Account and can start paying.

Depending on the product, you may be asked to make a small initial top-up to activate the card, and if the application is unsuccessful the full amount is returned automatically.

Your first transaction typically triggers 3DS verification.

Every screen is walked through in the official guide, How to Apply for the MEXC Global Card.

Where the MEXC Global Card Is Available (and Where It Isn't)

Eligibility for the Global Card keys off your proof of address.

If your country is not on MEXC's application blacklist, you can apply.

The Philippines, Taiwan, Vietnam and Thailand, for example, are not on the application blacklist as of August 2026.

The United States, China, India, Indonesia, Turkey and Russia are on the application blacklist, along with dozens of smaller jurisdictions.

The list changes over time, so check the full list of supported and restricted countries on the official card page before you start.

FAQ

Is the MEXC Global Card a new card or an upgrade of the MEXC Card?

It is a separate second card, and the MEXC Card (APAC) continues to be issued in Taiwan, the Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam.

Can I hold both the Global Card and the MEXC Card (APAC)?

Yes — generally, MEXC allows one card of each type per identity.

Does cashback stack if I hold both cards?

No, the two MEXC cards share a single monthly cashback allocation, so the caps do not stack.

Is there a physical MEXC Global Card?

Not yet: the Global Card is virtual-only at launch, and MEXC plans a physical card at a later stage.

Does the Global Card support Apple Pay and Google Pay?

Yes, the Global Card works with both, while the MEXC Card (APAC) supports Google Pay only.

Is the Global Card available in Taiwan, the Philippines and Thailand?

Yes, none of the three is on the application blacklist.

Is it available in India, Indonesia or Turkey?

No, all three are on the application blacklist as of August 2026.

What happens to fees after September 30, 2026?

The MEXC spending fee moves from 0% to 1%, and there is still no crypto conversion fee and no markup on the Visa exchange rate.

How is the Global Card different from the MEXC × ether.fi card?

The MEXC × ether.fi card is a Visa credit card applied for through an ether.fi membership account, rather than a MEXC-issued virtual card funded from your Fiat Account.

Should You Apply?

The Global Card does one specific thing, and it does it directly: it takes the withdrawal step out of the distance between holding USDT and paying for something.

Everything else sits on top of that — the 4% to 10% cashback, the 7% APR product, the 80,000 USD per-transaction ceiling, the 0% spending fee through September 30, 2026.

Whether it is worth applying comes down to two questions: do you already keep USDT on MEXC, and is your country off the application blacklist?

If both answers are yes, the card costs nothing to hold, and cashback starts from your first eligible purchase.

Cashback, the 7% APR and invite rewards run for the duration of the campaign and may be adjusted or withdrawn afterward, so check the official MEXC Card page for current terms.
