According to Odaily Planet Daily, tZERO has completed a new funding round led by Marc Cohodes and Max Cohodes, with participation from existing investor Intercontinental Exchange (ICE), Bill Fleckenstein, partner Dinari, and others, while Neighborhood Intelligence has committed to participate. Bulgarian Parliament Passes Bill Granting Tax Authorities Full Access to Crypto User Data
According to Bitcoin.com News, Bulgaria’s National Assembly passed amendments to the Tax and Social Security Procedure Code on September 9 by 149 votes in favor, 0 against, and 10 abstentions. Crypto asset businesses will be required to report users’ names, addresses, dates and places of birth, tax residence, tax identification numbers, and transaction data for different types of crypto assets, including gross amounts received, transaction counts, fiat purchases and sales, and crypto-to-crypto exchanges. Supporters argue that the rules align Bulgaria with EU standards and help curb tax evasion, while privacy advocates warn that extensive collection of personal and transaction data could increase security risks.
AI Startup Temporal Raises $550 Million at a $12.55 Billion Valuation
According to Reuters, artificial intelligence startup Temporal has raised $550 million in late-stage funding, more than doubling its valuation in seven months to $12.55 billion. The round was led by Lightspeed Venture Partners, with Wellington Management, Growth Equity at Goldman Sachs Alternatives, and Tiger Global serving as co-leads. According to Cointelegraph, the EU Cyber Resilience Act has taken effect. Providers of software and hardware crypto wallets must submit an initial warning within 24 hours of discovering an actively exploited vulnerability or serious security flaw, followed by a full notification within 72 hours. Manufacturers must also submit a final report within 14 days after corrective or mitigation measures become available, while serious incidents must be reported within one month. Companies violating the requirements may face fines of up to €15 million or 2.5% of global annual turnover, whichever is higher. Providing incorrect, incomplete, or misleading information may result in fines of up to €5 million.
