According to Bitcoin.com News, the specification for Bitcoin’s proposed BIP‑54 soft fork, known as Consensus Cleanup, was completed in May 2026. It is designed to address four edge cases in the consensus rules without introducing new Bitcoin functionality. F2pool co-founder Wang Chun said the mining pool would upgrade its nodes if the proposal secured the required majority through the standard BIP‑9 process, but would not signal support in advance. According to a post by Adam (@Adam_Tehc), weekly on-chain trading volume indicates that the NFT cycle lasted only around 21 months, even when the period dominated by Blur is included.
