The MEXC Global Card is the second Visa card MEXC issues directly, introduced in 2026.
It sits alongside the MEXC Card (APAC), which remains available in selected Asia-Pacific markets, and the MEXC × ether.fi Credit Card.
This guide is written for the Global Card, with a one-line note wherever the MEXC Card (APAC) works differently.
It walks you through applying, topping up from your Fiat Account, paying online and in-store with Apple Pay or Google Pay, checking cashback, and fixing the problems that come up most often.

Key Takeaways
  • The MEXC Global Card is a Visa virtual card funded with USDT from your Fiat Account.
  • Approval usually takes a few minutes, and your first deposit activates the card.
  • Add it to Apple Pay or Google Pay by typing in the card details.
  • MEXC charges a 1% spending fee (waived until September 30, 2026), no FX markup, and no top-up fee.
  • Your first purchase usually triggers a 3DS code that is valid for four minutes.
  • Cashback of 4% to 10% is paid in USDT by the 15th of the following month.

MEXC Card Activation Checklist: 3 Things You Need Before You Apply

Before you apply, make sure you have:
  • A MEXC account.
  • Advanced KYC completed, which covers ID document verification and face recognition.
  • Some USDT for topping up once the card is approved; you can buy it with Quick Buy or P2P, or send it from an external wallet.
Availability depends on your country or region; on the MEXC Card page, tap Details under each card to see where it is offered.
If you hold the MEXC Card (APAC) instead, you also need a MEXC account and Advanced KYC, though some APAC applicants are asked for extra verification such as proof of address.
The top-up and fee steps below differ for that card, and each difference is noted where it matters.

How to Apply for the MEXC Global Card: 8 Steps From Apply Now to Active

Applying takes a few minutes, and because the card is virtual, there is nothing to wait for in the mail.
Here are the eight steps, with what to do if one fails.

Step 1: Find the Black-and-Gold Global Card on the MEXC Card Page

On the web, go to the MEXC Card page or select Buy Crypto → MEXC Card from the top navigation bar.
In the MEXC App, tap More on the homepage, then MEXC Card under Finance.
Both cards are listed under the name MEXC Card, so use the arrow to slide to the black-and-gold card and tap Apply Now.

Step 2: Read the Fee Pop-Up and Tap Confirm

The pop-up shows the Card Issuance Fee, the First Deposit Amount, and the Service Fee.
The standard USD 20 issuance fee is waived for a limited time, and the application page always shows the fee that applies at the time you apply.
If the pop-up shows a First Deposit Amount above 0, that amount is credited to your card balance and can be spent; if the application fails, the full amount is returned to your account automatically.

Step 3: Confirm Your Name, Date of Birth, and Gender

Confirm that the name, date of birth, and gender shown are correct.
If anything is wrong, tap Edit and fix it before you tap Next.

Step 4: Enter Your ID Details and Address, Then Submit

Fill in your ID type, ID number, issuance date, country or region, city, and residential address.
Everything must match your ID document, because a mismatch can hold up the review.

Step 5: Wait for Approval and MEXC Card Activation

Review usually finishes within a few minutes.
MEXC emails a confirmation to your registered address, and the card status on the My MEXC Card page changes to Active.
Activation is tied to your first deposit: if the pop-up in Step 2 showed a First Deposit Amount of 0, the card reads Active as soon as you are approved; otherwise it activates when you make that deposit in Step 6.

Step 6: Your First MEXC Card Top Up From the Fiat Account

On the My MEXC Card page, tap Deposit and enter the amount to move from your Fiat Account to the card.
Only funds already in your Fiat Account can be used, so if it shows 0 USDT, transfer USDT from your Spot Account first, or buy USDT through Quick Buy or P2P.
The top-up screen accepts 1 to 1,000,000 USDT per transfer, charges no fee, and funds usually arrive within a few minutes.

Step 7: Add the MEXC Card to Apple Pay or Google Pay

Open the card to view the card number, expiry date, and CVV, and keep them private.
Enter these details manually in Apple Pay or Google Pay using the steps later in this guide, and make sure the name in your wallet app matches the cardholder name.

Step 8: First Purchase and MEXC Card 3DS Verification

Your first purchase usually triggers 3-D Secure (3DS) verification, and cross-border or larger purchases can trigger it again later.
The one-time code arrives by email; the code email states that it is valid for four minutes, and you should never share it with anyone.
Once the payment goes through, you receive a transaction notification email showing the amount, merchant, and the last four digits of your card.
For MEXC's official step list, see the guide to applying for the MEXC Global Card.

MEXC Card Top Up: Spot Account to Fiat Account to Card in Three Steps

Topping up takes two short hops: USDT moves from your Spot Account to your Fiat Account, and then from your Fiat Account to the card.
You never need to withdraw to an external wallet.
  • 1. Open the My MEXC Card page and tap Deposit.
  • 2. Enter the amount; the screen shows your Fiat Account balance, the amount you will pay, and the transaction fee, which is 0.
  • 3. Tap Confirm.
If your Fiat Account balance is lower than the amount you entered, the top-up fails; transfer USDT from your Spot Account to your Fiat Account and try again.
The MEXC Card (APAC) works differently: it pays directly from your Fiat Account balance, so transferring USDT there is the whole top-up process.

MEXC Card Top Up Limits: 1 to 1,000,000 USDT, Zero Fees

The top-up screen accepts any amount from 1 to 1,000,000 USDT per transfer.
There is no top-up fee.
Once the card shows Active, each top-up simply adds spendable balance.

How Long Does a MEXC Card Top Up Take?

Funds usually arrive on the card within a few minutes.
You can check every past top-up under Transaction on the card page.

How to Use the MEXC Card to Pay Online and In-Store

Online Purchases: Use the MEXC Card at Merchants That Accept Visa

The virtual card works at online merchants that accept Visa.
Enter your card number, expiry date, and CVV exactly as you would with any other card.
Streaming subscriptions, e-commerce platforms, SaaS tools, and hotel and flight booking sites are typical uses, though some merchant categories are not supported and some do not earn cashback.

In-Store Purchases: Tap to Pay With Apple Pay or Google Pay

For in-person payments, add the card to Apple Pay or Google Pay and tap to pay at contactless terminals that accept Visa.
Setup steps for both wallets are in the next two sections.

How the MEXC Card Converts USDT to Fiat, and Why the Final Amount Can Differ

You hold USDT on the card, and the card bills in USD.
When you pay a merchant in USD, the USDT covering the purchase is converted to USD with no conversion fee on the Global Card, so a 100 USD purchase deducts 101 USDT once the 1% spending fee is added, or a flat 100 USDT while the 0% launch promotion runs until September 30, 2026.
When you pay in another currency, Visa converts the merchant's currency to USD at its own exchange rate and MEXC adds no markup; in MEXC's worked example, a 100 EUR purchase at a Visa rate of 1.08 deducts 109.08 USDT.
The amount you see at the moment of purchase is an estimate: it is calculated at authorization, and the final amount is fixed when the merchant settles the transaction, usually within 1–3 business days.
If the rate moved between the two, a second record for the difference may appear, and cashback is credited only after settlement.

MEXC Card Fees: 1% Spending Fee (0% Until September 30, 2026), 0% FX Markup

A 1% spending fee applies to each purchase, calculated on the purchase value; it is waived from launch until September 30, 2026.
MEXC adds no markup to the Visa exchange rate; Visa applies its own rate, and the spread varies by currency.
There is no top-up fee and no annual fee.
The MEXC Card (APAC) uses the reverse structure: a 0% spending fee, a 1% crypto conversion fee, and a 1% cross-border fee on top of the Visa rate.

MEXC Card Apple Pay Setup: 6 Steps in the Wallet App

The MEXC Global Card supports Apple Pay.
  • 2. Tap Debit or Credit Card.
  • 3. Tap Add a Different Card.
  • 4. Tap Scan or Add Card, then Enter Card Details Manually.
  • 5. Type in the card number, expiry date, and CVV shown on your MEXC Card page.
  • 6. Complete verification and finish setup.
Menu names vary slightly by iOS version; whichever screens you see, choose the option to enter the card details manually.
Make sure the name in Apple Wallet matches the cardholder name shown in MEXC.
Once added, the card works right away at contactless terminals.
If the card is rejected during setup, check that the card status is Active and that you typed the details exactly as shown; if it still fails, contact MEXC Customer Service.

MEXC Card Google Pay Setup: 4 Steps in Google Wallet

  • 2. Tap Payment card, then New credit or debit card.
  • 3. Tap Enter details manually and type in the card number, expiry date, and CVV.
  • 4. Tap Save and continue, accept the issuer terms, and complete verification if asked.
As with Apple Pay, the name in Google Wallet has to match the cardholder name.
Your MEXC Card then appears in Google Wallet and is ready to use at contactless terminals.
The MEXC Card (APAC) supports Google Pay only.

MEXC Card Cashback: How Much You Earn and When It Lands

Eligible purchases earn cashback of 4% to 10%, paid in USDT.
The rate depends on your VVIP tier, which MEXC sets from your M-Score: Standard (350–599) earns 4% with a 100 USDT monthly cap, Premier (600–799) earns 6% with a 300 USDT cap, and Elite (800+) earns 10% with an 800 USDT cap.
Your tier on the last calendar day of the month decides that month's rate and cap, and Experience Card trial tiers do not count.
Purchases in excluded merchant categories, such as money transfers, gambling, and government payments, earn no cashback; the full list is on the merchant category page.

When Does MEXC Card Cashback Arrive?

Cashback is calculated by calendar month and credited by the 15th of the following month; only settled transactions count.
For example, April's cashback is paid by May 15.
Refunded, reversed, or disputed transactions do not count, and cashback already paid on them is deducted.
A purchase that is still authorized but not yet settled does not count until settlement, usually 1–3 business days after you pay.

Where MEXC Card Cashback Is Paid

Cashback is paid in USDT to your Spot Account, according to MEXC's Card Rewards FAQ.
From there you can transfer it to your Fiat Account to top up the card again, or subscribe it to the MEXC Card exclusive Earn product.
Your spending records are under Transaction History on the card page.

MEXC Card Spending Limits: Up to 80,000 USD per Transaction

The MEXC Global Card allows up to 80,000 USD per transaction and 1,000,000 USD per day, and no monthly or annual cap is published.
The MEXC Card (APAC) allows 50,000 USD per transaction and per day, 1,000,000 USD per year, and at most 50 transactions per day and 1,040 per year.
There is no inactivity fee and no termination fee, so an unused card costs nothing to keep.
Check MEXC's fee and limit page before a large purchase, since limits can change.

MEXC Card Problems and Fixes: Declines, Rates, 3DS, Top-Ups, Refunds

Transaction Declined: Five Causes and the Ten-Failure Rule

A declined payment usually comes down to one of five causes: not enough balance on the card, a frozen or restricted card, an unsupported merchant category, a risk-control block, or a temporary network or merchant problem.
Check your card balance and card status first, and top up from your Fiat Account if the balance is short.
If the decline appears only on the merchant's payment page and no record shows in your MEXC transaction history, the merchant rejected it and MEXC cannot see the reason; try another payment method or contact the merchant.
Do not keep retrying: ten consecutive failed transactions trigger MEXC's risk-control system and can terminate the card automatically, so if a payment still fails after you have ruled out the causes above, contact MEXC Customer Service instead.
Any amount held by a failed authorization is released back to your balance automatically, usually within 1–3 business days.

Wrong Exchange Rate? Why the Settlement Rate Wins

The rate you see when you pay is an estimate made at authorization; the final charge uses the actual Visa rate at settlement, usually 1–3 business days later, so the two can differ.
If the rate moved, a separate record for the difference may appear; it covers only the rate difference, not a second full charge.
The merchant can also change the final amount at settlement, for example by adding a tip or service charge.
MEXC adds no markup to the Visa rate; the only MEXC fee on a purchase is the 1% spending fee (0% until September 30, 2026), calculated on the purchase value.

MEXC Card 3DS Code Not Received: Four Minutes to Act

3DS codes are sent by email, so check your inbox and spam folder.
Each code is valid for four minutes; if it has expired, start the payment again.
Never share the code with anyone, including anyone claiming to be MEXC support.
If you receive a code for a payment you did not make, contact MEXC Customer Service immediately and freeze the card from the My MEXC Card page under More → Freeze Your Card.

MEXC Card Top Up Failed: No Funds in Your Fiat Account

The Deposit screen only accepts funds that are already in your Fiat Account, so a top-up fails if that account shows 0 USDT even when your Spot Account holds plenty.
Transfer USDT from your Spot Account to your Fiat Account, or buy USDT with Quick Buy or P2P, then repeat the top-up.
Funds usually land on the card within a few minutes, and every top-up appears under Transaction.

Refund Not Yet Received: 1–7 Days, Up to 30 for Travel

Refunds usually arrive within 1–7 days, and e-commerce, airline, hotel, and travel refunds can take up to 30 days.
A refund made before settlement carries no fee, and the Global Card has no standard refund fee after settlement either, though MEXC may charge USD 0.50 per refund if your refund rate is unusually high.
Cashback already paid on a refunded purchase is deducted.
