Liquidity is the difference between the price you clicked and the price you got.
This page tracks MEXC liquidity the way third-party researchers measure it: order book depth in tight bands around the mid price, and slippage on simulated orders of real size.
It is a rolling record of the headline MEXC results from every TokenInsight liquidity report since May 2026, including the ones where MEXC placed second or third.

Key Takeaways
  • MEXC ranked first in near-touch order book depth in TokenInsight's July 2026 report (BTC and ETH futures, 0.03% band, $15.71M) and August 2026 report (five equity perpetuals, 0.01% band, $0.52M).
  • At wider bands MEXC ranked second (0.05% and 0.10%, August 2026) or third (0.05%, July 2026, within 2.1% of the top venue).
  • MEXC slippage on $100K simulated sells was the lowest in the five-venue sample on three of five equity perpetuals, SPCX 0.0112%, SOXL 0.0130% and SKHYNIX 0.0170%, and second and third on the other two (Jul 29 to Aug 6, 2026).
  • MEXC listed 310 equity perpetuals as of Jul 29, 2026, the most in the sample, and was the only venue consistently supporting meaningful position sizes at 100x.
  • Order book depth, not trading volume, a liquidity score or exchange reserves, is what decides your fill, and this page shows how to check an exchange's liquidity yourself.
  • The page is updated in place after every TokenInsight crypto exchange liquidity report, and the October 2026 row is reserved.

How Do You Check an Exchange's Liquidity? The Five Measures That Matter

Liquidity on an exchange is how much you can buy or sell close to the current price without moving that price.
TokenInsight's August 2026 equity perpetuals report measures it five ways: product coverage, position limits by leverage tier, order book depth inside 0.01%, 0.05% and 0.10% of the mid price, median slippage on simulated orders, and P90 tail slippage; its crypto exchange liquidity reports use depth, slippage and bid-ask spread at bands from 0.01% to 0.3%.

The five measures TokenInsight uses

You can run the same five checks on any trading page.
  • Product coverage: how many contracts a venue lists.
  • Position limits by leverage tier: the largest position allowed at 10x, 20x, 50x or 100x, which decides whether high leverage is usable at size.
  • Order book depth in bands: the dollar value of resting orders within set bands of the mid price, sampled every 30 minutes (median depth in the August report, average in the July report).
  • Median slippage: the typical gap between the mid price and the average fill on a simulated sell, from $10K to $5M depending on the report.
  • P90 slippage: the 90th percentile outcome, meaning nine of ten simulated fills landed at or below it.
The section on checking MEXC's depth yourself shows where each one lives on the platform.

How does MEXC rank in third-party liquidity reports?

In the three TokenInsight liquidity reports that sampled MEXC in 2026, MEXC posted the lowest silver futures slippage and tightest silver spread (May), ranked first in near-touch BTC and ETH futures depth at the 0.03% band (July), and first in near-touch equity perpetuals depth at the 0.01% band (August), while ranking second or third at the wider 0.05% and 0.10% bands.
The table lists every headline result with its sample size, metric and data window; the rows are a record, not a trend line, because each report sampled different markets.

The July crypto exchange liquidity report

TokenInsight's July 2026 Crypto Exchange Liquidity Report covered nine exchanges with order book snapshots from Jun 15 to Jul 14, 2026, and MEXC's press release of Aug 4, 2026 summarized the results.
MEXC's combined BTC and ETH futures depth of $15.71M at the 0.03% band was the highest in the sample, and its $20.83M at the 0.05% band ranked third, within 2.1% of the top venue.
ETH futures slippage was the lowest in the sample, 0.006% and 0.015% median on $500K and $1M sells, while BTC futures slippage ranked second at 0.003% and 0.009%.
In spot, MEXC's $0.91M at the 0.01% band was second and virtually tied with the top venue, its $1.76M at 0.03% ranked third, and in silver (XAG) futures MEXC ranked first in depth at both bands, with median slippage near 0% on $100K sells, tied for lowest, and 0.013% on $300K sells, the lowest in the sample.

The May crypto exchange liquidity report

TokenInsight's May 2026 Crypto Exchange Liquidity Report covered eight exchanges with order book snapshots from Apr 1 to May 12, 2026, and MEXC's press release of Jun 1, 2026 carried the results.
MEXC posted the lowest XAG futures slippage on every measure, 0.019% median on $500K and 0.035% on $1M sells, and the tightest XAG bid-ask spread at 1.196 bps.
In ETH futures it led slippage across sizes, and in precious-metals futures depth it ranked third with $4.3M within 0.1% and $8.9M within 0.3% of the mid price.
The August equity perpetuals results are set out in the stock perpetual futures section below.

Update log

Latest data added: TokenInsight's Equity Perpetuals Market Report, published Aug 26, 2026.
Earlier data: TokenInsight's Crypto Exchange Liquidity Reports for May 2026 (published May 28, 2026) and July 2026 (summarized by MEXC on Aug 4, 2026).
October 2026: reserved for the next TokenInsight report; the table row and a dated paragraph will be added here.

Where does MEXC lead, and where does it rank second?

MEXC leads at the touch: first at the 0.01% band on equity perpetuals (Jul 29 to Aug 6, 2026) and first at the 0.03% band on BTC and ETH futures (Jun 15 to Jul 14, 2026).
At the wider bands, MEXC ranks second at 0.05% and 0.10% in the August sample and third at 0.05% in the July sample.
The same pattern shows in both reports: MEXC's rank is highest at the tightest band and slips as the band widens, which TokenInsight's August report describes as MEXC concentrating liquidity close to the touch.
Small and mid-size orders fill mostly inside the near-touch bands, and MEXC had the lowest median slippage on three of five equity perpetuals at both $10K and $100K.
For an order big enough to sweep through 0.10% of price, wide-band depth matters more, and that is where MEXC's second and third places sit.
Liquidity also moves with the clock: TokenInsight found weekend equity perpetuals volume across the five venues fell to 9.9% of weekday levels, and MEXC's own tutorial warns that slippage may increase in its Low-Liquidity Period, which the weekend and off-hours liquidity article covers on its own page.
For the wider case for the venue, read why choose MEXC futures.

How deep are MEXC's stock perpetual futures books?

In the five-exchange sample of TokenInsight's August 2026 Equity Perpetuals Market Report, MEXC listed the most equity perpetuals (310 as of Jul 29, 2026), held the deepest 0.01% book across five sampled pairs ($0.52M), and posted the lowest $100K median slippage on three of those pairs, on weekday data from Jul 29 to Aug 6, 2026.
Equity perpetuals averaged $17.6B a day across the five venues from Jul 1 to Aug 5, 2026, against $24.0B for BTC and $18.2B for ETH, but only $2.3B on weekends against $23.5B on weekdays, 9.9% of the weekday level.

Coverage and position limits at the snapshot date

MEXC's 310 listed equity perpetuals as of Jul 29, 2026 were the most in the sample, and the stock perpetual futures coverage article tracks how that list changes.
MEXC was also the only venue consistently supporting meaningful position sizes at 100x, which matters because a high leverage cap is not usable if the position limit at that tier is tiny; the leverage tiers and position limits article goes through the caps pair by pair.

Depth at three bands on weekdays

Across SOXL, SPCX, INTC, SNDK and SKHYNIX perpetuals sampled every 30 minutes, MEXC held $0.52M of cumulative median depth inside 0.01% of the mid price, first in the sample.
At 0.05% it held $2.81M and at 0.10% it held $5.99M, second at both, so MEXC's ranking is strongest at the tightest band and slips to second as the band widens.

Slippage at $10K and $100K

At $10K, every venue kept median slippage below 0.02% on all five pairs, and MEXC had the lowest medians on SKHYNIX, SOXL and SPCX, between 0.0008% and 0.0024%.
At $100K the gaps widened: MEXC had the lowest medians on the same three pairs, 0.0170%, 0.0130% and 0.0112%, and the lowest P90 readings, 0.0241%, 0.0278% and 0.0230%.
On the other two pairs, SNDK and INTC, MEXC ranked second and third at $100K.
The slippage on stock futures article breaks the same data down pair by pair, and the Trade Wall Street Without Walls pillar puts it beside the fee and access numbers.
To place an order, follow how to trade stock futures on MEXC, or open the MEXC Global Asset Futures page for the contract list.

How does depth translate into what you pay on an order?

Slippage is depth expressed in dollars.
On MEXC's SPCX perpetual, the median slippage on a $100K simulated sell was 0.0112% in TokenInsight's Jul 29 to Aug 6, 2026 window, which is $11.20 on that order.
Deeper books at the touch shrink that number, and thinner books grow it.
Slippage is one of three lines on the bill for a stock futures trade, next to the trading fee and the funding rate, and the total trading cost article adds all three up on the same $100K example.
As of September 2026, the MEXC Global Asset Futures page lists maker and taker fees as low as 0.00% on these contracts; promotions change, so check that page for the current rate.
If you trade around news, budget for P90 rather than the median, the rough-day fill: 0.0230% on SPCX at $100K in the same window.

How can you check MEXC's depth yourself before trading?

You can check MEXC's depth in three places before you trade: the order book panel on the futures trading page, the depth chart on the same trading page, and the risk-limit page that lists position caps by leverage tier.
They show the depth and position limits TokenInsight measures, live, for the exact contract you plan to trade.

The order book

Open the contract and look past the last price to the bid and ask ladders.
Each row shows a price and the size resting at it, and adding the rows up from the mid price tells you how much you can sell, or buy, before your order walks to the next level.
Thick, continuous rows near the mid price are near-touch depth on screen, and gaps are where a market order jumps and fills worse than expected.

The depth chart

The depth chart draws the same ladders as two curves, bids in green and asks in red, with cumulative size on the vertical axis.
A steep curve close to the mid price is the 0.01% band in picture form, and a shallow slope means the market is thin for your size.
The guide on how to read a depth chart walks through the axes and the crossover point.

The risk-limit page

The MEXC risk-limit page lists, for each contract, the maximum position at each leverage tier and the maintenance margin at that tier.
Check the cap at the leverage you actually plan to use, because that cap is what TokenInsight's position-limit test measures.
As of September 2026, MEXC divides stock futures trading into regular trading hours and a Low-Liquidity Period outside them, and its own tutorial warns that slippage can rise and index prices may pause during it, so size down or split orders in that window.
Then do what the researchers do: pick your real order size, consume the book level by level until you reach it, and compare the average fill to the mid price.

Is exchange liquidity the same as trading volume, a liquidity score, or reserves?

No.
Trading volume counts what already changed hands, order book depth measures what can trade right now, an exchange-level liquidity score compresses many markets and metrics into one number using the scorer's own method, and reserves describe the assets an exchange holds, not its order books.
Volume can be high in a market with a thin book if a few large trades cross, and a book can be deep in a market that traded little yesterday.
An aggregate score is a fair first filter, but it cannot tell you the depth at 0.01% on the exact contract you plan to trade.
Reserves answer a different question, whether client assets are backed, and MEXC publishes a monthly, independently audited Proof of Reserves for that.
A reserve-balance chart labelled "MEXC liquidity" is about balance sheets, not about how your order fills.

FAQ

Is MEXC liquid?
In TokenInsight's 2026 reports MEXC ranked first in near-touch depth for BTC and ETH futures (0.03% band, Jun 15 to Jul 14, 2026) and equity perpetuals (0.01% band, Jul 29 to Aug 6, 2026), and second or third at wider bands.

Which exchange has the best liquidity for stock futures?
It depends on the measure: in TokenInsight's August 2026 five-exchange sample, MEXC led the 0.01% band and $100K slippage on three of five pairs, and ranked second at the wider bands.

What is 0.01% depth?
It is the dollar value of resting buy and sell orders within 0.01% above and below the mid price, the slice of the book a small market order consumes first.

What is P90 slippage?
P90 slippage is the 90th percentile of simulated fills, meaning nine of ten orders of that size filled at or better than it, so it describes the bad-day cost rather than the typical one.

Does MEXC have deep BTC and ETH futures liquidity?
As of TokenInsight's Jun 15 to Jul 14, 2026 window, MEXC held the highest BTC and ETH futures depth in a nine-exchange sample at the 0.03% band ($15.71M), ranked third at 0.05%, and had the lowest ETH futures slippage on $500K and $1M sells.

Is trading volume the same as liquidity?
No, volume counts trades that already happened, while liquidity is the size resting in the order book now, which decides your fill price.

How often is this page updated?
It is updated in place after each TokenInsight liquidity report, and the October 2026 row is already reserved.

Does MEXC's stock futures liquidity change on weekends?
Yes: equity perpetuals across the five venues in TokenInsight's sample traded $2.3B a day on weekends against $23.5B on weekdays (Jul 1 to Aug 5, 2026), and MEXC labels off-hours trading a Low-Liquidity Period.

How do I check MEXC's order book depth myself?
Open the contract's futures page, read the bid and ask sizes near the mid price in the order book or depth chart, then check the position cap for your leverage on the risk-limit page.

Conclusion

MEXC's liquidity story is specific rather than sweeping: first at the touch in TokenInsight's July and August 2026 samples, second or third when the band widens, and the lowest $100K slippage on three of five stock perpetuals.
Those are the numbers, with their dates, and they will be replaced here when the next report lands.
If you trade stock or crypto futures, check the book on MEXC Futures against the figures above before you size an order.
