Starknet Launches Shadow Accounts, Enabling Private Links to Main Wallets for DeFi Activity
According to Odaily Planet Daily, Starknet has launched Shadow Accounts, allowing users to participate in public DeFi activity through independent pseudonymous addresses under their own control while keeping the connection to their main wallets private. Funds for Shadow Accounts come from users’ protected STRK20 balances, with the first integration scheduled to go live tomorrow. Balances, transaction histories, and application positions associated with Shadow Accounts remain publicly visible on-chain, while STRK20 protects the link between those accounts and users’ primary wallets, improving account-level privacy while preserving on-chain verifiability.
Singapore Gulf Bank Adopts BNY’s 24/7 U.S. Dollar Settlement Service, Including Weekends and U.S. Public Holidays
According to Bitcoin.com News, Singapore Gulf Bank has adopted BNY’s 24/7 U.S. dollar book-transfer service, enabling eligible corporate and retail clients to settle qualifying U.S. dollar payments on weekends and U.S. public holidays. The service covers account funding, corporate payables, and time-sensitive cross-border treasury transactions, with settlement supported through eligible accounts held directly at BNY or through correspondent banks connected to the network. While the service does not operate as a permissionless blockchain settlement system, it can further improve round-the-clock U.S. dollar liquidity management for financial institutions.
South Korea’s KSD Production Platform to Support Avalanche and Other Ledger Technologies, Targeting February 2027 Completion
According to Odaily Planet Daily, Korea Securities Depository (KSD) is building a production platform for the country’s tokenized securities market and has listed Avalanche alongside Hyperledger Besu and Hyperledger Fabric among the distributed ledger technologies it plans to support, rather than relying on a single-chain architecture. The project has moved from the testbed stage into production-platform development, with Samsung SDS selected as the contractor. Completion is scheduled for February 2027, after which the platform is expected to support real securities transactions and on-chain settlement, providing infrastructure for the gradual tokenization of Korean equities, bonds, and other securities.
Base Launches Earn & Borrow for Stablecoin Yield and Crypto-Backed Lending
According to Odaily Planet Daily, Base has launched Earn & Borrow, an end-to-end technology stack that enables platforms to offer eligible users floating-rate stablecoin yield and crypto-backed loans through Base infrastructure and third-party lending markets. Returns on deposits such as USDC primarily come from interest paid by overcollateralized borrowers, while the solution can connect with lending protocols including Morpho and Aave. The average yield on U.S. dollar stablecoins in Base lending markets is currently 4.45%, excluding additional incentives.
Robinhood Social Trading Opens to Eligible U.S. Users and Will Expand to Legend Desktop
According to The Defiant, Robinhood has opened its Robinhood Social trading network to eligible users in the United States. The feature uses an in-app feed to display transactions, profit and loss information, and portfolio data that users choose to share, while Quick Trade allows eligible trades to be initiated directly from posts. The platform does not automatically disclose users’ full trading histories and currently does not support sharing futures or multi-leg options trades. Tether Invests in Latin American Stablecoin Infrastructure Firm EFY Finance to Expand Institutional USDT Adoption
According to Odaily Planet Daily, Tether has invested in EFY Finance’s seed round to promote institutional adoption of USDT and USAT across Latin America. EFY Finance currently provides stablecoin on- and off-ramp services, OTC trading, wallets, and payment cards, with local settlement coverage for more than 12 currencies across 17 countries. The company has obtained a digital asset service provider license in El Salvador and currently serves more than 25,000 individual and corporate accounts. The investment is expected to further connect stablecoins with traditional financial infrastructure and cross-border payment networks across the region.
ENS Proposes ENSv2 Activation, With New .eth Registrations Paused for Several Hours During Transition
According to Cointelegraph, ENS founder Nick Johnson has submitted an executable draft proposal seeking DAO approval to activate ENSv2 on Ethereum mainnet. If approved, the existing registrar would stop accepting new domain registrations while current domain holders would still be able to use and renew their names normally. Once record synchronization is completed, new .eth registrations would move to the upgraded system, and new registrations across both systems could be paused for several hours during the transition. ENSv2 will introduce more flexible domain-management and permission architecture. The proposal remains in draft form and must still proceed through an on-chain DAO vote.
