DC official toured the Great American Fair 'so you don't have to'

At-Large D.C. Councilmember Christina Henderson shared an Instagram video Friday touring the Great American State Fair on the National Mall.

On Instagram, Henderson revealed mostly empty fairgrounds, joking, she was checking out the fair "so you don't have to." The Councilmember commented on the sparse state booths and limited attractions.

She also noted the fairgrounds lacked typical state fair amenities, with only a Ferris wheel and rodeo for activity.

"If you're looking for state fair food — they ain't got it," Henderson said.

Her caption read, "Not a funnel cake, corn dog, bucket lemonade, or fried Snickers in sight."
