LIST: Lawmakers who voted to back Sara Duterte impeach complaints at justice committee

MANILA, Philippines – The House justice committee said on Wednesday, April 29, that a total of 53 lawmakers voted in favor of the motions declaring the existence of probable cause in the two impeachment complaints against Vice President Sara Duterte.

The committee has yet to publish the list, but Rappler reviewed the livestream in order to name the House members who were part of the unanimous vote.

Rappler was able to identify 50 out of the 53 lawmakers.

Justice committee vice chairpersons

Only two out of eight vice chairpersons attended the hearing.

The House website listed 25 members for the majority of the justice committee, but only 14 cast a vote.

Committee chairperson Jinky Luistro didn’t vote, saying she is not allowed to unless there is a tie.
