SEOUL, June 22 — G-Dragon is bringing his signature streetwear aesthetic to infinity and beyond.

The K-pop icon has teamed up with The Walt Disney Company Korea for “The First Fan,” a new collection inspired by Toy Story that the company says marks its first large-scale collaboration with a K-pop artist spanning both merchandise and the retail experience.

According to The Korea Herald, Disney said the partnership sees G-Dragon and his fashion label, Peaceminusone, involved in everything from designing the products to shaping how fans experience the collection in stores.

The collaboration is set to launch in more than 10 cities across the Asia-Pacific region, including Seoul, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Taipei and Shanghai.

The concept imagines the toys that surrounded G-Dragon in childhood as his very first supporters, inspiring the collection’s title, “The First Fan.”

“The collaboration blends Peaceminusone’s distinctive design language with the themes that Toy Story has championed for decades — imagination, the special bond between toys and people, and the value of friendship,” a Walt Disney Company Korea official said in a press release.

“The project is particularly noteworthy as Disney’s first initiative to co-create an end-to-end collaboration with a K-pop artist that spans not only product development but also the retail experience, with plans to roll it out across the Asia-Pacific region,” the official added.

The collection includes more than 70 products, from collectible figures and plush toys to fashion pieces, lifestyle goods and mobile accessories.

The designs merge Peaceminusone’s signature daisy emblem with Pixar favourites including Woody, Buzz Lightyear, Jessie, Rex, Alien and Forky, creating a playful crossover between G-Dragon’s distinctive visual identity and one of Disney’s most beloved animated franchises.

Fans in South Korea will get the first look at the collection from July 1 through an immersive pop-up in Seoul’s Seongsu district. Visitors will walk through a childhood bedroom-inspired installation featuring silhouettes of Woody and Buzz Lightyear before heading upstairs to browse and purchase the full collection.

The collaboration arrives as Toy Story 5 continues its theatrical run in South Korea after opening in cinemas last week.
