A swing-state senator targeted by President Donald Trump was not impressed with the obscene nickname the president had come up with for him.
Trump launched his new attack on Sen. Jon Ossoff (D-GA) following a closely watched Republican primary runoff on Tuesday night that saw his preferred challenger, Rep. Mike Collins, get the Republican nomination to take him on.

"So happy for highly respected Congressman Mike Collins," wrote Trump on Truth Social. "He will win his Senate Race in Georgia against a pathetic failed Dumocrat Senator, Os(jerk!)off, who is a joke in D.C. Nobody even knows who he is!!! I’ll be doing Big TRUMP Rallies for Mike in Georgia!"
Semafor congressional reporter Burgess Everett caught up with Ossoff on Wednesday to ask him about his thoughts on Trump calling him "OssJerkoff," and he had a blunt response.
“The president is humiliated globally by this failed war," said Ossoff. "He’s an increasingly unstable lame duck and a national disgrace.”
All of this comes as Republicans are privately fretting behind the scenes that Collins, who has a long history of controversies on social media including promoting racist and antisemitic material, could be a drag on the ticket and cost the party dearly in Georgia.
