FintechOS, the AI platform for financial product operations, announced the Customer Technology Preview (CTP) of FintechOS 8, the next generation of its platform, enabling banks and insurers to innovate and modernize financial products with greater control and governed use of data and AI across the full product lifecycle. FintechOS 8 CTP is available for implementation with production-ready capabilities, with additional functional scope planned for general availability (GA) later in Q2 2026.

The release comes as financial institutions face growing pressure to operationalise AI beyond pilots and proofs of concept. While AI adoption in financial services has accelerated sharply, with 65% of firms now actively deploying AI, up from 45% a year ago, many initiatives remain at risk of cancellation due to unclear business value, limited infrastructure readiness, or insufficient governance controls.

FintechOS 8 is designed to address this gap. It brings together composable product and workflow engines for end-to-end origination and servicing, a data layer that decouples transformation from legacy infrastructure, and governed AI execution – including a purpose-built financial services copilot and specialized agents that operate within policy guardrails and with full traceability.

“A common misconception is that financial institutions have an AI problem; in reality, their challenge is largely an operationalization one,” said Teo Blidarus, CEO of FintechOS. “We built FintechOS 8 around a simple premise: AI in financial services only works when it is grounded in real product data, real workflows and real governance. This release makes data and AI operational for financial institutions, not experimental.”

Expanded industry Solution Portfolio

Financial institutions are under pressure to simplify fragmented product operations, reduce dependency on legacy systems, and operationalise data and AI across core business processes. FintechOS 8 addresses this through industry-specific solutions that unify product definition, decisioning, and execution across the full lifecycle.

With this release, FintechOS expands its industry solution portfolio with two new offerings: 1) For Banks: Unified Product Pricing & Origination

Banks, credit unions, and building societies typically operate multiple origination stacks across products, channels, and cores, resulting in long change cycles and high operational cost.

The Unified Product Pricing & Origination solution creates a reusable, core-agnostic origination layer that connects product definition, eligibility, pricing, workflow, and decisioning into a single governed flow.

This enables:

  • Faster product launches and changes
  • Consistent decisioning across channels and products
  • Embedded AI for data ingestion, personalization, and underwriting, with full traceability and human oversight

2) For Insurers: Intelligent Policy Administration System

Insurers and MGAs operate policy, claims, billing, and servicing logic tightly embedded within legacy systems, limiting agility and increasing maintenance cost.

The Intelligent Policy Administration System externalizes product logic, workflows, decisioning, and servicing into a composable policy operations layer.

This enables:

  • Faster policy and product changes without core disruption
  • Reduced dependency on legacy system modifications
  • Governed AI applied to ingestion, servicing decisions, and workflow orchestration

Delivered Through Solution Accelerators

Both solutions are delivered through product- and market-specific accelerators that compress launch timelines from months to weeks.

These accelerators provide:

  • Pre-configured product models and workflows
  • Integration with ecosystem data providers
  • Embedded AI capabilities aligned with regulatory and operational controls

Together, these solutions represent a shift from fragmented systems to unified, AI-enabled product operations that can evolve continuously without large-scale core transformation programs.

Industry Recognition for FintechOS AI Approach

FintechOS 8 also builds on early recognition from Microsoft, which recently awarded FintechOS the Solutions Partner with certified software designation for Financial Services AI. The designation validates FintechOS 8, built on Microsoft Cloud, against standards for interoperability, security architecture, governance, responsible AI controls, and enterprise-grade performance.

Next Steps

  • Existing customers are encouraged to contact their FintechOS account teams to explore FintechOS 8 and define their upgrade and modernization roadmap.
  • Prospective customers can schedule a demo to discover how FintechOS 8 enables faster product innovation and governed use of data and AI.
  • Practitioners and partners can apply for access to the FintechOS Community sandbox to explore hands-on product configuration, workflows, and AI-powered capabilities.
